We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Senior Financial Controller to lead our accounting operations and provide strategic financial insights to our management team. As our Financial Controller, you'll spearhead budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes while maximizing returns on financial assets. Your role will extend to guiding financial decisions for product development, merchandising programs, and risk management. With an eye toward career growth, you'll play a pivotal role in our journey toward excellence.

 

What you will do:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including subsidiaries, and establish best practices within the Finance & Accounting function
  • Establish accounting department structure to meet short and long-term goals and provide mentorship to junior staff
  • Organize and manage accounting documents and records and implement transaction controls
  • Supervise transaction-processing operations and collaborate with external auditors
  • Generate timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and reporting standards
  • Manage cash and risk management activities while recommending benchmarks for the measurement of company financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with tax filings, prepare the annual budget, and forecast budget trends
  • Publish complete and timely financial statements to executives, shareholders, and the board
  • Analyze capital investments, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions to drive profitability
  • Identify and implement reasonable discounts for accounts payable as needed

     

     

Our ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration

10+ years of accounting experience, with proficiency in cost modeling techniques

CPA or CMA designation preferred

Proven experience working in the consumer industry

Prior experience with financial monitoring for product lifecycle

Knowledge of JD Edwards and experience in supply chain and
