Minnesota Diversified Industries Maintenance Tech - Overnights (11pm-7am) in Grand Rapids, Minnesota

Base Wage: $22.00+ depending on experience Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining the facility and all operating equipment in optimum condition. Essential Functions: * Service equipment to ensure safety of all employees. * Assist in development and implementation of a schedule for preventative maintenance of machinery and facilities. * Provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs of production equipment. * Maintain spare parts inventory. * Documentation of maintenance functions through the completion of work orders. * Design, engineer and fabricate parts and equipment. * Troubleshoot and repair machinery and facility operating equipment. * Works independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. * Participates in improvement programs using problem analysis and resolution skills. * Employ effective, respectful and persuasive spoken and written communication skills. * Ensure adherence to all current company policies. * Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality. * Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment. * Assist in department cleanliness and housekeeping. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * AAS degree in industrial technology preferred, equivalent experience considered. * One year of Millwright experience preferred. * One year or more related maintenance experience. * Ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software. * Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other systems. * Read and interpret equipment manuals, blue prints, schematics, and work orders. * Ability to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages). * Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check. * Satisfactory completion of a MVR * Valid state-issued driver's license and proof of insurance * Verified eligibility for employment in the United States. Environment and Physical Demands: * Work 8 or 10 hour shifts as determined by supervisor. Work during non-traditional hours (weekends and holidays) periodically required. Schedule modification may be implemented by Supervisor. * May require On Call responsibilities as needed. * Works in a typical material recovery (high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, odors, and temperature fluctuations.) * Work outdoors in all weather conditions. * Specific vision required. * Continuously stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, reaching with hands, and rotating hands either direction. * Frequently lift 50 lbs. or less, between heights from 0-5 feet. Other: * Frequent in-state travel. Limited out of state.
