Yanmar Compact Equipment North America Commodity Lead in Grand Rapids, Minnesota
Yanmar Compact Equipment North America designs, manufactures and supports a complete range of compact equipment including compact track loaders, mini excavators, wheel loaders and construction equipment for use in such markets as construction, landscaping, utility, land management and agriculture. The products are sold primarily through a third party, independent dealer network. Overview: Yanmar is seeking a highly a highly organized, goal-oriented strategic Commodity Lead to join our growing organization. The Commodity Lead is responsible for managing the strategic sourcing aspect of one of seven given commodities. The role is responsible for overseeing and developing a commodity strategy to support long-term growth and negotiate long-term agreements with the supply base. They serve as the primary interface between Yanmar and suppliers. The commodity groups at Yanmar include: Hydraulic/Pneumatic components, castings, heavy fabrications, electronics/electrical, tracks/running gear, cabs/accessories/ROPS, and engines/power plant. This Commodity Lead position will be responsible for designating suppliers as either strategic or non-strategic and responsible for defining, prioritizing, and coordinating assistance to strategic suppliers, as needed, in support of category-focused goals and objectives. This position will report to the Strategic Sourcing Manager.
