Convivial Brands Warehouse Loading Dock Worker in Grand Rapids, Michigan

We're in need of a Loading Dock Worker at our Distribution Center in Wyoming, MI. Ideal candidates able to life up to 50 pounds, and comfortable working in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures. This is a physically demanding job.

The Position:

  • Loading and unloading trucks.
  • Completing cycle counts.
  • Performing count verification and inspection.
  • Must be able to work in variable conditions within a warehouse setting - variable temperatures during different seasons.  
  • Light assembly including ability to understand and operate feeding and sorting equipment.
  • Pick, pack, ship and process all daily order types and perform all tasks associated with those duties.
  • Maintain a clean work area to keep products and merchandise clean and help prevent work related injuries.
  • All other duties as assigned by direct Supervisor.

     

Required/Desired Qaulifications:

  • High School education or equivalent certification is required.
  • 1-2 years distribution center/warehouse experience preferred (not required).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift and move for extended periods in order to complete everyday tasks.
  • Ability to use or willingness to learn general warehouse equipment such as carts, ladders, and lift trucks to complete everyday tasks.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting distribution standards.
  • Motivated, hard-working and dependable; attendance and punctuality are very important.
  • Able to work the shift hours M-F 7am-4:00pm, plus occasional overtime.
  • Able to perform repetitive and manual tasks on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Basic understanding of and willingness to use computers.
  • Acceptable proficiency in basic math and problem solving.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Commitment to team environment and willingness to complete all tasks as assigned.
