Description:

We have exciting opportunities for Inpatient, Outpatient, and Mobile Phlebotomists/Lab Assistants. We are seeking people interested in part time, full time, and relief hours on day shift.

Requirements:

Six months Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.

If interested in 1st shift, must be able to work as early as 4 am.

Most of our positions are four hour shifts so must be willing to work four hour shifts M-F and every third weekend.

  • All positions are required to work every 3rd weekend, and 1 holiday a year

  • Part time inpatient is 4 – 8 am Monday - Friday

Availability to train 1st shift M-F, full time hours for up to 8 weeks

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

50% of the work is done on a computer- orders, registration, data entry, etc.

Ability to type 40 words per minute.

ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (must obtain certification within one year of hire) preferred.

3 years of Phleb work and experienced in EPIC preferred

Phlebotomist/Registration: Working in a single assigned work area, provides specimen collection, registration and processing services to patients in the main hospital, outpatient lab draw stations, and mental health and skilled nursing facilities at off-site locations and clinics. High volume work, 50% of duties involve computer utilization with targets to meet. Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department and other duties as assigned.

Main Hospital Inpatient Phlebotomist

At the main hospital servicing inpatients, processing and registration of samples received from physician offices for testing.

Outpatient Health Park Phlebotomist

May be located at any outpatient draw stations around Grand Rapids; required to float to any health park when needed. (all sites are located within a 20 mile radius of Saint Mary's Hospital )
