3rd Shift Opportunity - 7pm start time

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assembly/Disassembly Technician to support our Sanitation and Production departments. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently disassembling production equipment to facilitate the thorough cleaning process in adherence to food safety standards. You will then reassemble the equipment to ensure its proper functioning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Requirements

Safely and efficiently disassemble production equipment after each production run to enable thorough cleaning by the sanitation department in accordance with food safety standards.

 

Carefully inspect and clean disassembled components to remove any debris, ensuring compliance with strict sanitation and food safety standards.

Organize and store disassembled equipment, parts, and components in a systematic and orderly manner for easy retrieval and reassembly.

Collaborate with the sanitation department to coordinate workflow and prioritize equipment cleaning based on production schedules and food safety requirements.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a hygienic environment.

Regularly inspect and assess equipment components for wear and tear, damage, or deterioration, reporting any issues to the maintenance department.

Reassemble production equipment according to established guidelines, ensuring that all seals, nuts, bolts, and clamps are securely fastened and meet food safety standards.

Test and verify the proper functioning of reassembled equipment, making necessary adjustments or repairs if required, while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Assist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts and consumables required for equipment assembly and disassembly, ensuring their cleanliness and suitability for use in food production areas.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in mechanical or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in equipment assembly and disassembly, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of various equipment components and their functions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, precision, and food safety.
  • Proficient in following technical manuals, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues during assembly and identify potential equipment malfunctions.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate and work cohesively with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment, following all GMPs and food safety related guidelines.
