Job Description: ASM Global /SAVOR, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for an Assistant Restaurant/Catering Manager at the Van Andel Arena, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for Bartender's at the Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, MI.This is a customer service focused role, for experienced bartenders that are committed to practicing responsible alcohol service in a professional environment Qualifications: Ideal Candidates must have strong verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor. They must have prior bartending experience, be self-motivated and be able to stand for long periods of times. Candidate must be personable and guest service driven Essential Functions * Be responsible for mixing drinks to order and serving the guests * Performs other duties assigned Expectations * Must have good customer service skills and the ability to develop and enhance guest loyalty * Must follow all SAVOR policies and procedures * Must be present for all major and Minor events at the Arena Education & Experience: * Previous bartending experience preferred Skills & Abilities: * Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Service Standards of proper grooming and appearance * Ability to complete required pre-employment food and alcohol service training (TIP's, Servsafe certification) * Basic math skills; ability to accurately count change and balance bank * Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and receive orders * Ability to work effectively with others * Ability to work in fast-paced environment Physical Requirements * Ability to stand and remain stationary for entire length of shift * Constant walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions * Ability to perform normal lifting of stock, up to 50 pounds Environmental Working Conditions: * May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hold and cold, depending on season * May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
