REPORTS TO: Executive Director, Casa Latina SUMMARY:

You are responsible for developing and overseeing the university's dual language programs, curricula, and courses. You will be setting academic standards, policies, and procedures for dual language education in alignment with university practices. It is your responsibility to manage the operations of dual language faculty, ensuring the effective assignment, implementation, and evaluation of their courses. Additionally, you will enhance course delivery within the Learning Management System (LMS) by establishing best practices, conducting faculty reviews, aligning syllabi with standards, and mentoring faculty to foster continuous improvement. All responsibilities are carried out ethically and in support of the University's commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and adherence to all relevant regulations and policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Continuously enhance expertise in dual language theory, research, and practices. • Hires, supervises, mentors, evaluates, trains, assigns, and supports faculty and oversees all professional development for dual language programs ensuring compliance with institutional guidelines, standards, and program-specific criteria and in coordination with ADCs while maintaining rigorous credentialing records. • Oversees the development, implementation, and evaluation of dual language programs, curricula, and courses in alignment with college deans' approvals and guidelines. • Manages the submission of course assessments, excellence system scores, and program review data in accordance with university schedules and policies. • Coordinates and reviews course syllabi, instructor resources, and schedules to ensure compliance with university and departmental standards, including necessary assessments and audits for consistent quality delivery. (i.e., rubrics, textbooks, software, course shells, assurance audits, mid-session observations, etc.) • Coordinate and supervise timely plan implementations to the Dual Language Course Design Plan working with the Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Expert Teams and the Dean of the Global Campus. • Develop guidelines and content for faculty and staff bilingual, multicultural and other related professional development.

Awesome if You Have:

• Professionally Bilingual (verbal and written communication) in Spanish and English is required. • Master's Degree, Doctoral Degree preferred, in education, business or field in which dual language programs are offered. • Minimum of five years' combined experience in teaching and education administration. • Demonstrated expertise in bilingual education and dual language methodology • Outstanding leadership, management skills and communication skills in English and Spanish. Excellent verbal, written and reading skills in English and Spanish. Multicultural and multilingual lived experiences. • Demonstrated understanding of language, cultural and national origin diversity.
