Butler America Electrical Engineer in Grand Prairie, Texas

Electrical Engineer Location: Grand Prairie, TX Job ID: #69365 Duration: 12 months Pay Range: $60-72/hr Ability to obtain secret clearance is required to start. This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Working within a team of Electrical Engineers to evaluate electrical/electronic production failures and determine the appropriate root cause and corrective actions.

  • Independently perform complex troubleshooting on electrical/electronic systems.

  • Hands-On troubleshooting using electrical/electronic test equipment such as DMMs, Oscilloscopes, and automated testing equipment.

  • Understanding and interpreting schematics and performance requirements related to the rocket system and subsystems.

  • Work within a cross-functional team to effectively address integration and interface challenges faced during production.

  • Support engineering activities with subject matter experts.

  • Creation of technical documentation describing test failures and troubleshooting procedures that comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures.

  • Provide technical data and evaluation for components, equipment, and systems consistent with engineering plans and contract requirements.

  • May support engineers in the development of technical proposal and provide input on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.

  • Effectively communicating technical issues to a variety of different stakeholders including program management, customers, and subject matter experts.

    Basic Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Past performance as an individual contributor

  • Experience with production hardware disposition

  • Experience with electrical hardware troubleshooting

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical (CCA) schematics

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous MRBE experience

  • Experience in Quality note (Q-Note) dispositions

  • Strong performance in a small team environment

  • Missile or Rocket program experience
