Lockheed Martin Cyber Research Scientist - Orlando FL / Dallas TX in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a cyber security trail blazer to develop the next generation of cyber technologies and shape the future of the global security business. This position will support Missile and Fire Control (MFC) Cyber Advanced Programs as a Cyber Architect Senior Staff. The ideal candidate is an emerging cyber security subject matter expert with strong software, systems, and microelectronics security technical acumen. Candidates should be experienced in the Research and Development (R&D) of advanced cyber capabilities and technologies for Contract Research and Development (CRAD), Internal Research and Development (IRAD), and Department of Defense (DoD) programs.

Daily activities include: performing advanced R&D on cyber programs, technology development/implementation, assessing threats/vulnerabilities, leading technical teams, writing technical white papers/proposals, and supporting customer needs (meetings, calls, emails, demonstrations, etc.). In this role, you will demonstrate a strong ability to work across organizational boundaries and jurisdictions and lead cross-discipline teams in the development of cyber solutions. A successful candidate will work effectively throughout the Lockheed Martin organization.

Relocation assistance is possible for this unique opportunity to either our Orlando, FL or Grand Prairie, TX locations.

This position may be eligible for the Cyber Compensation Plan (CCP) providing an opportunity to receive additional compensation for performance measured against individual goals.

Basic Qualifications:

• Cyber technical experience with embedded systems/software/firmware.

• Experience with cyber technology development in DoD lifecycles; ideally from early concept/vulnerability identification, thru development/prototyping, and then the integration into customer product lines.

• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, software/systems engineering, or computer science.

• Knowledge of systems, software, and cyber security engineering.

• Active secret clearance.

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated Government R&D experience for cyber technologies/research areas such as: embedded cyber resilient systems, software assurance, weapon system cyber vulnerability assessments, and other technologies.

• Demonstrated experience of advanced cyber research and development projects.

• Team player – Effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals to act as “one” in the pursuit of common objectives. Ability to build effective customer and partner relationships.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
