Azure Cloud Platform Security - IAM

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). An ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed here: Indianapolis, IN; Atlanta, GA; Mason, OH; Norfolk, VA; Dallas, TX

The Azure Cloud Platform Security - IAM is part of IAM Architecture team. Will be responsible to develop Azure and GCP strategic and tactical plans for a comprehensive enterprise-wide Cloud IAM information security solution.

Leads the development of policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and other elements of an infrastructure necessary to support information security in compliance with established company policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted information security controls. Responsible for the selection and delivery of strategic network security, access control and secure transaction/messaging solutions.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop Enterprise wide Strategical and Tactical Roadmap for Enterprise Wide Cloud Identity and Access Management Security solution.

  • Develop Policies, Guidelines, technical standards to support enterprise wide Security and Regulatory policies.

  • Engage in recommendation of Public and Private cloud best practices for security, performance, and cost optimization.

  • Collaborate with other teams including Business, IT and Extended Security teams to define the framework for on-boarding of workload on public cloud.

  • Partner and Collaborate on Cloud Design with Identity-Centric Security.

  • Develop an Identity threat Detection Response by collaborating with Security teams.

  • Provides trouble resolution and serves as point of technical escalation on complex problems. Creates presentations and seeks IT management approval and acceptance of significant replacements or reconfigurations of major security systems serving the Enterprise.

  • Sets vendor strategy and direction.

  • May be assigned to project teams for technical consultation to business partners and developers.

  • Designs & engineers comprehensive access management and network security technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards; works with architecture to update technology direction & strategy.

  • Develops reports supporting strategy and direction for management.

  • Capable of serving as technical merger & acquisition lead.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert among peers, with manager and senior management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires BS/BA in information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 8 years experience in systems administration and security aspects of information systems, access management and network security technologies, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, data, and people; experience with multiple technical and business disciplines required; requires broad-based experience to plan and design highly complex systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies:

  • Cloud Identity and Access Management in Azure.

  • Native Azure Cloud knowledge and the ability to design secure patterns for Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service.

  • Hands on experience in designing secure patterns for Azure IaaS/PaaS

  • Hands on experience and good working knowledge with Infrastructure as Code concepts

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the Cloud Control Matrix

  • Cloud Architecture and agile software development knowledge.

  • Ability to work on agile projects utilizing (Scrum/Kanban) Agile project management framework.

  • Experience on Threat Modeling the Cloud.

  • Good knowledge of CI/CD tools, processes, and procedures

  • Good knowledge of code and binary repositories (e.g. GiTHub, GiTLab or BitBucket)

  • Good knowledge of Terraform or equivalent provisioning and automation tooling for building, changing, and versioning infrastructure.

  • Good knowledge of Automation and Configuration Management toolsets

  • Hands on experience on Active Directory/Azure AD.

  • Knowledge on Containerization.

  • Nice to have knowledge and Understanding on GCP (Google Cloud)

  • Security Certifications: CISSP and other advanced technical security certifications (e.g. Information Systems Security Architecture Professional, Information Security Engineering Professional, Certification and Accreditation Professional, or equivalent certifications) strongly preferred.
