Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler III

Job Overview

As a Manufacturing Planner/Scheduler III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will:

  • Develop, maintain, and implement optimal production plans for a wide range of SKUs, leveraging supply chain programs and capacity models to optimize production efficiency.

  • Monitor inventory trends and capacity requirements, proposing improvements to minimize waste and optimize inventory levels.

  • Effectively communicate production plans with manufacturing stakeholders, providing guidance on scheduling and capacity utilization to ensure alignment with demand forecasts.

  • Analyze key performance indicators and planning parameters to drive continuous improvements, recommending adjustments to strategies as needed.

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement and actively participate in cross-functional teams to implement changes that drive efficiency and quality.

  • Manage planning data for new product releases, collaborating with New Product Initiative teams to ensure seamless integration into production schedules.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field required,

  • At least 5 years relevant work experience

  • CPIM certification preferred

  • Advanced skills in Excel and ERP systems, such as JD Edwards or SAP

  • Experience in Lean production principles and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Knowledge of supply planning processes, capacity modeling, and inventory management principles

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and supply chain dynamics

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Capability to collaborate closely with a diverse range of teams, including manufacturing, planning, quality, customer care, and product management.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Effective time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to provide regular updates to managers on project status and goals

Workplace Environment

This position primarily operates in an office environment, with occasional overtime and flexible shifts required to meet business needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $75,800.00–$101,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
