GP:50 Ltd Aerospace Manufacturing Technician in Grand Island, New York

Grand Island. GP:50. Aerospace Manufacturing technician. $37,440 - $49,920/year.

Key Responsibilities * Obtain and maintain IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certifications * Ability to utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and electrostatic discharge (ESD) techniques for all assigned tasks * Perform manufacturing processes independently on complex and routine assigned tasks while following company policies and written instruction. * Ensure all written instructions, calibrated equipment, and material with expiration dates are up to date prior to use and raise any concerns about quality or safety to management and engineering for review. * Able to perform product testing using high pressure test equipment and document results on data sheets or record in an electronic collection system. * Collaborate with all technicians and engineering to identify improvement opportunities resulting in a decrease of lead times, cost savings, waste elimination, or increased quality control.

Minimum Requirements * Completed High School Diploma or GED * 1 year of manufacturing experience or completion of a vocational technology certification program

Preferred Qualifications * Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology * Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment * Electronics assembly and inspection experience (Certified in J-STD-001 and/or IPC-A-610) * Understanding of electrical testing equipment (power supplies, multi-meters, thermal chambers, and data acquisition systems)
