Trinity Health Medical Technologist- Part Time in Grand Haven, Michigan

Description:

Performs analysis of blood, urine, stool and body fluids. Evaluates reports on the basis of the clinical and analytical conditions and is responsible for maintaining the quality of the laboratory testing.

Status: Part Time, 20 hours per week

Shift – 12:30p to 9p

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist (Medical Technology) or related discipline.

  • Registry or Certification by professional organization such as the ASCP or equivalent is required.Continuation of employment is contingent on passing of ASCP or equivalent within 18 months of hire.

  • Ability to read, speak and write English effectively.

What you will do:

  • Collect appropriate specimen samples as required.

  • Ensure specimen identification is accurate when aliquoting specimens and resulting tests.

  • Demonstrates competency in performance of analytical laboratory tests on blood, urine, and other boy fluids or specimens according to laboratory policy.

  • Evaluates test results in light of the patient’s clinical condition and analytical testing conditions according to laboratory policy.
