Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Senior Buyer who will be responsible for all commercial aspects of the purchasing and supply chain process, including purchasing, supplier performance management, cost management/negotiations, and material/part sourcing. The Role will take responsibility of larger spend and supplier management. This Role will have Supervisory responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage day to day business relationship with key suppliers through supporting activities including ordering, communication of

demand/volume/delivery time changes, issue resolution, sharing of end user feedback, follow-up on backorders, etc.

  • Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of suppliers and capabilities.

  • Develop Category Sourcing Strategies for assigned commodities.

  • Identifying, prioritizing, and impacting key business opportunities.

  • Excellent understanding of efficient materials flow and best practice.

  • Evaluate better forecasting methods to improve buying decisions.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively across different organizational levels, functions to realize procurement goals and objectives.

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years’ experience in Procurement, Logistics, and Inventory.

  • Strong supervisory experience.

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • High level of computer literacy to include MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • High level of experience in Accounting and Inventory Software, Internet, Order Processing Systems and Manufacturing software.

  • Must have abilities in negotiation, team building, innovation and change management.

  • Professional certifications are a plus (APICS, CP1M, etc).

EDUCATION

  • BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, or Business Accounting, Technical Fields preferred.
