Kelly Services Packaging Operator in Grand Forks, North Dakota

Packaging Operator

Join our team in Grand Forks as a Packaging Operator, where you'll play a crucial role in operations for a local food manufacturer. This position involves tending, maintaining, and adjusting the machinery that stocks, fills, wraps, seals, and labels bags with finished products. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can ensure product and bagging requirements are met with safety, efficiency, and minimal waste. If you have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to machine maintenance and malfunction resolution, we want you on board.

Position Details:

  • Salary: $22.22-23.22 per hour

  • Position Type: Temp to Hire

  • Rotating 12hr shift; 2-3-2 schedule – Every other weekend off.

  • 40-60 hours per week depending on production need; overtime required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tend, maintain, and adjust machinery for stocking, filling, wrapping, sealing, and labeling bags with finished products.

  • Ensure product and bagging requirements are met safely, efficiently, and with minimal waste.

  • Inspect bagging line processes and materials and respond promptly to any machine malfunctions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

  • At least 3 years of related experience and/or training.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • MUST be able to use measurements to calculate percentages and make proper adjustments and calibrations.

  • Ability to operate computers and PLC operated equipment.
