Job: Maintenance Technician

Location: Grand Forks, ND

Pay: $23-24/HR

Overview: Your responsibilities include general maintenance tasks, equipment inspections, repairs, and providing essential support to the team. No specific trade license or training is required - we value trainable individuals eager to grow with us.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in a safety-conscious environment, prioritizing safety above all.
  • Utilize testing equipment such as power meters for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of electrical components including receptacles, switches, breakers, ballasts, light fixtures, and indoor/outdoor lighting.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, including water pumps, bathroom fixtures, flush valves, and minor drain maintenance.
  • Inspect and maintain life safety equipment, such as exit signs, emergency lighting, eye wash stations, AEDs, fire extinguishers, and fire protection systems.
  • Complete general labor tasks as assigned, including cleaning equipment, restrooms, floors, walls, and landscape.
  • Support client initiatives by maintaining, repairing, and replacing foam board in data center areas.

Training and Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or approved GED.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with 5+ years of experience in related fields or vocational schooling.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, janitorial work, air compressors, ladder climbing, and scissor lift operation.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing/pipefitting, electrical work, carpentry, blueprint reading, mathematics, and facility equipment operation.
  • Experience in HVAC component replacement (e.g., compressors, coils, controls, heat exchangers) is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid state drivers license with a clean record, along with passing a criminal background check and drug screening.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in varied conditions, including exposure to dust, hot/cold temperatures, and loud noises.
  • Capability to stoop, stand, climb, and frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
