W International Welder in Goose Creek, South Carolina
Responsibilities/Job Duties/ Tasks:
- Must be able to pass Visual Test inspection for non-code welding.
- Must be able to set up welding machine with proper weld wire and shielding gas.
- Must be able to utilize all hand tools and grinders.
- Must be able to distinguish varying thicknesses of metal materials.
- Reports directly to the Weld Manager.
- Must be able to pass D1.1 bend test for 1.0" A-36 plate.
- Must be able to set up welding machine in accordance with and full understanding of WPS.
- Must be able to interpret weld symbols and build prints.
- Must be able to use grinder for proper pre-weld joint preparation and post-weld clean-up.
- Must be able to pass 1688 HY80 bend test for 2 plate
- Must be able to Visual Test own welds
- Hammers, chips, and grinds work piece to cut, bend, and straighten metal.
- Assist senior Welder/Fabricators when requested.
- Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications.
- Reports directly to the Weld Manager.
- Must be able to pass Welder Workmanship Training
- Must be adept with hand tools including measuring devices.
