Aerotek Maintenance Electrician in Goose Creek, South Carolina

Aerotek is supporting a great manufacturing company in Huger, SC looking for qualified Mechanical and Electrical technicians to join their team as a DIRECT PLACEMENT . They offer fantastic compensation with 1st year potential compensation averaging $80k - $110k (including bonuses and OT).

Looking for talented individuals with experience in Heavy Industrial environments working on Maintenance teams. Must have a high focus on safety, predictive/preventative/corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and ability to work a rotating schedule including unscheduled OT, nights, weekends, and holidays.

MUST have a high school diploma and pass a hair follicle drug test to get offer.

All candidates must be able to explain in depth their mechanical or electrical experience to move from one interview process to the next. Aerotek will help you prepare for this process to make sure you are ready and prepared for the interviews.

Job Description:

The primary role of the Mechanical or Electrical Technician is to be part of a team supporting our operations team with a focus on Safety, Quality, Reliability, Costs, and Continuous Improvement. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting, equipment installation and upgrade, and performing various types of maintenance activities (predictive, preventative, corrective, etc.) in a demanding work.

Main skills needed for Mechanical are:

  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues on a production line

  • Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Stick and/or MIG welding

  • Preventive Maintenance

Main skills needed for Electrical are:

  • Understanding of motors, motor controls, and AC drives

  • Power distribution systems and High Voltage understanding

  • PC, Network and PLC experience (Allen Bradley and Siemens)

  • HMI Programming experience (Wonderware)

Interview Process:

  1. Prescreening completed by Aerotek Recruiter

  2. Teams Interview with Nucor Maintenance Team

  3. 5-6 hour on-site interview with HR/Maintenance and Plant Manager (Lunch Provided)

  4. During the on-site interview you will be taking a written test for mechanical or electrical aptitude

  5. Panel interview with current personnel

  6. Plant Tour

  7. Offer extended after Plant Tour (in most cases)

Compensation/Benefits

  • Weekly Production Bonuses!!! - Each week your bonus is added on top of your base salary to get your full $/hr rate. Avg production bonuses are 160%

  • Base Pay = $15.67

  • Weekly Production Bonus (Avg) - Production Output (Base Pay X Production Percent) = $15.67 x 160% = $24.91

  • Hourly Rate - For that week:

  • $15.67 + $24.91 = $40.48/hr Any OT rate paid on top of this rate
