RESCAR is rapidly growing and searching for switching and track personnel to fill open positions in our Gonzales Service Center. 

Previous experience required.

What You'll Do:

  • Construct and maintain the railroad track infrastructure to insure safe and efficient service to our customers

  • Inspect, unload, load, distribute, pick-up, install cross ties, switch ties, other track material and ballast.

  • Inspect, patrol, construct, install, retire, remove, surface, gauge, line, and shift track.

  • Inspect, protect, flag, construct, install, maintain, and repair road crossings.

  • Inspect, unload, distribute, load, pick-up, install, grind, and transpose rail.

  • Inspect, dismantle, remove, maintain, repair and paint station facilities.

What You'll Need:

  • 1-3 years working in the rail industry preferred

  • Valid driver's license

  • Updated background check, drug test and physical

  • The ability to pass basic track rules test

  • Continuous mental and visual attention is required to perform duties (such as working around heavy and moving equipment), involving repetitive or diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity, required

  • The desire to work hard for potential to grow with a great company!

What You'll Enjoy:

  • Competitive base wages; $25/hour

  • Weekly pay

  • 8 to 10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday (with weekend work as scheduled)
