This is a second shift role (12-8:30PM). Note: training period may or may not occur on 1st shift 6:30AM-3:00PM.

What are the main functions of this role?

  • A Production Specialist in Diamond Point Turning (DPT) area operates machines to make precision cuts and measurements on production hardware. The operator follows all safety protocols for safe operation of cutting tools. They utilize their advanced processing experience to trouble shoot and resolve issues with production support teams. Rigorous documentation of processes performed in our electronic tracking system and follow written procedures is required. The operator will perform all tasks to ensure that equipment and processes being used are in control. The right candidate can use their advanced skill set to multitask and they may also assist in directing work, outlining tasks and checking other’s work for correctness. This is a 100% onsite position.

  • Positions are on first, second and third shift; however, training may be on their assigned shift or 1st shift depending on trainer availability. The candidate may need to acquire the required certifications before they move to their final designated shift hours i.e. candidates need shift hours flexibility during the contract period.

    Required Skill Sets:

  • US Citizen

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Adheres to all safety protocols, use of proper procedures and PPE

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with either a Diamond Point Turning (DPT) machine, Lathe, manual Bridgeport machine, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) or any combination of these tools.

  • Ability to work with dimensions, measurements, problems solving.

  • Has experience in MS Office (Excel)

  • Adheres to written procedures and work instructions.

  • Must handle fragile hardware and manually manipulate small parts during processing.

  • Will document data on travelers and in the electronic database system

  • Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills for interactions with peers, support teams and management.

    Desired Skill Sets:

  • Experience using Diamond Point Turning (DPT) machine.

  • Experience using hand tools.

  • Experience working in a machine shop.

  • Ability to multitask.

  • The flexibility to work occasional, voluntary overtime on weekends to meet the factory’s needs is strongly desired.

    Years of Experience Required (if any):

  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with either a Diamond Point Turning (DPT) machine, Lathe, manual Bridgeport machine, CNC (Computer Numerical Control) or any combination of these tools.

    Education Level Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
