Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking a Material Program Manager (MPM) who is a strong leader with demonstrated project management skills who will be directly accountable for ensuring overall supplier performance.  You must be a self-starter, capable of developing and achieving organizational and program objectives, and must be able to successfully interface with all levels of internal management, including supplier management.

You will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies and plans.  The MPM serves as the leader for all program’s supply chain activities and is the liaison between the Program Manager(s), Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other functional leads, and the Supply Chain organization. You are also responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives.  This position requires an individual who will be able to exert influence and influence the overall objectives and long-range goals of the program and the program IPT team. The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, and negotiating experience and have had project management responsibilities including, but not limited to Risk and Opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

This position is an onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Overall material management for the program; maintaining statistical data related to the program health which includes cost, schedule, quality metrics and EVMS.

  • Participate in developing Estimate at Complete and Earned Value Management System (EAC/EVMS) packages and attend weekly reviews.

  • Focal point for annual and weekly material sales forecasting.

  • Initiate and maintain accurate Sales Forecasts, Sales and Operating Plans and Annual Operating Plans

  • Flow down Supplier Management Best Practices to suppliers which include risk mitigation and subcontract management plans.

  • Collaborate with other programs to maximize efficiency of program execution including commonality.

  • Coordinate proposal activities for SCM.

  • Prepare and present weekly during Program Performance Reviews

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of ten (10) years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supply chain experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry.

  • EVMS, Earned Value certification or equivalent.

  • Experience with MS Office (i.e. Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project)

  • Working experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)

  • Experience supporting/leading proposal efforts.

  • Experience working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, and Quality functions.

  • APICS Certification (CPIM, CPM) or equivalent

  • Existing Secret (or higher) Clearance

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
