The Headlines:

In the role of a Plant Maintenance Mechanic working at the Rocky Mountain Metal - Cans, you will be is responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of our RTO’s, vacuum pumps, high- and low-pressure air compressors, air dryers, plant can scrap system, a variety of pumps and fans, balers and stacker, dealing with hydrofluoric and sulfuric acids. Also performs opacity readings from plant stacks.

The Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and rebuild a large variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to RTO’s, vacuum pumps, compressors, air dryers, can scrap system, balers, baler stacker, many fans, and a variety of pumps.

  • Repair and maintain equipment that supports HF/Sulfuric acids systems.

  • Have a fundamental knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Obtain certification to perform method 9 stack readings in accordance with Colorado State opacity regulations.

  • Work closely with other departments including warehouse, O&R, electrical, and production.

The OtherQualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years as a maintenance mechanic.

  • Over the age of 21.

  • Pass a medical clearance for full face respirator.

  • QEW certification/training to perform electrical tasks.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree or vocational education preferred.
