Amec Foster Wheeler Mechanical Fitter - South Region in Gold Coast, Australia

Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations, assisting Seqwater to provide water for more than 3 million people.

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter, based at S2 South Region in the Gold Coast area to support our long-term water maintenance partnership. This is a permanent role and is focused on the delivery of maintenance and mechanical services in the Southern Region.

At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/visa for this region, in place.


  • Pump alignment

  • Preservation of rotating and static equipment

  • Demonstrated experience in pressure testing

  • Asset maintenance background

  • Experience with data assessment, ordering spares and recording (Microsoft Excel).

  • Must have relevant Australian recognised trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter

  • Previous experience in a utilities environment would be considered favourably

  • Current First Aid, LVR&CPR, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Breathing Apparatus and Gas Test Atmosphere tickets are all desirable, but not essential

  • White card or equivalent.
