Job Description:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chip Seal/Paving Foreman to join our team. As a Chip Seal/Paving Foreman, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing paving projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with other foremen, project stakeholders, managing on-site construction teams, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. The Foreman\'s leadership and expertise will be crucial in coordinating crew members, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives. The working Foreman will directly engage with crew members on streets and highways, with minimal time spent in the office setting.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of paving projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.

Coordinate with foremen, project manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project flow.

Manageon-siteconstruction teams.

Monitor project progress and address all issues that may arise.

Ensure that projects are completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Track and report project costs and make adjustments as needed to stay within budget.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Assist in project planning and scheduling of crews and materials.

Responsible for the training and performance of all subordinates.

Coordinate the maintenance and repair of equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Monitor equipment usage and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

Procure and manage equipment rentals as needed for specific projects.

Requirements:

Proven experience in the paving or construction industry.

Strong knowledge of paving techniques, materials, and equipment.

Excellent leadership, communication skills and organizational skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.

Attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient computer skills

Kansas drivers license with clean Motor Vehicle Record- Class A CDL a plus.

Ability to work long hours, as required on the road, alongside road crews.

Working Conditions:

This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

Regular travel to project sites and client locations will be required, with travel out of town, overnight during the work week.

Extended hours Monday-Friday. Weekend work is rare.

Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, lifting, and operating heavy equipment, as needed.
