Job Title Assembly Fitter

Location Gloucester

Salary Starting salary of £35,787, rising to £37,839 once you complete company training

We are recruiting for a further 15 fitter to expand the team, this is due to business growth, so lots of opportunity for a career in an ever growing business!

What will I be doing?

As an Assembly Mechanical Fitter, you'll be responsible for assembling and testing Airbus Single Aisle family nose and forestay, main gears, and side stays, all while maintaining a high standard of quality for each component, along with FOD compliance.

Job Requirements

What do I need?

You'll already have Fitting experience from a previous role, ideally in an Aerospace or Automotive environment. We're looking for someone with:

• A completed Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.

• The ability to follow technical drawings, specs, procedures, and test instructions

• A desire to learn and understand the basic principles of production flow lines, and takt times

• Knowledge of COSH and flow line methodologies is ideal, but not essential for you to apply

Specificity of the job

You'll work on a regularly rotating shift pattern, covering dayshifts and nightshifts (which include a premium shift payment of 38.5% of your salary). Occasionally, there'll be options for working bridging shifts and weekend shifts too.
