Responsibilities
Plan, write, edit, and proofread simple to highly complex documents and other print and electronic media. Plans format of documents, organizes content, edits text and graphics, and provides instructions for final reproduction
Edit and/or rewrite draft documents
Ensure that the material is structured and formatted logically and resolves inconsistencies
Manage content on SharePoint sites and other online resources
Write and edit procedural documentation such as user guides, SOP’s, and manuals
Determine the type of publication that will best serve the project requirements
Meet with SME’s, Program Manager, and project managers to learn about specific project requirements and processes
Assess the audience needs for whom the technical and procedural documentation is intended; adjusts tone and technical terms used to meet those needs and to ensure understanding
Plan writing process and set timelines and deadlines.
Create or work with graphic designer to create diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to assist readers in understanding a product or process
Gather feedback from customers, designers, and SME's to improve technical documents
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must have experience with technical writing SOP, whitepapers, SharePoint
Must be organized, dependable, able to work alone or as part of a team, and able to manage multiple projects
Experience with SharePoint (how to create and manage the content), and web design
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong background in editing and graphic software (Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Vizio etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail oriented and capable of working independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Result-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Good deductive and inductive critical thinking skills required
Candidate must possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline and 10+ years work experience.
Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (18 years total)
Clearance:
Moderate: Tier 2S (Standard MBI)
Location:
100% Remote, USA
Monday - Friday (9:00 AM- 5:30 PM CST Time)
Pay Range:
The pay for this position ranges from $42,730 to $60,500
The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses
