ASRC Federal Holding Company DoD Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Subject Matter Expert in Remote,

Agile Decision Sciences (ADS), a wholly owned subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a DoD Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Subject Matter Expert to support a DHA contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Support DoD Health Readiness program by providing clinical information, analysis and recommendations related to all severity categories of traumatic brain injury (TBI) across the full range of military operations pertaining to operational medicine, casualty management and tactical combat casualty care (TCCC) in support of the organization's key mission objectives.

  • Contribute towards the development of policies and programs across the continuum of care from point of injury to theater evacuation of deployed forces, as well as overall Warfighter Brain Health initiatives.

  • Provide support in conducting reviews for efficiencies and economy of scale for TBI programs throughout DoD by analyzing existing programs, and validating requirements and provide support in the development and sustainment of TBI management strategies for the total force.

  • Provide support for interagency agreements with the Department of Veterans Affairs and other Federal agencies that impact force TBI issues and attend related advisory committee meetings.

  • Provide the appropriate level of information and recommendations to complete analysis, reviews, interpretations, and recommendations related to public law, DoD issuances, DHA internal correspondence and MHS Governance groups that impact TBI care across the force.

  • Propose new strategies and technical approaches and when required provide business case analyses for improved TBI programs to more effectively identify hazards to mitigate individual exposures and identify more effective primary and secondary prevention measures, including special medical surveillance programs to characterize and document health risks and to measure and document exposures.

  • Provide support in developing and providing oversight of the execution of a TBI Strategy, coordinating with the Services, OJSS, CCMDs, research, academia, federal agencies, and other DoD partners.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a DoD Health related environment.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working as a TBI specialist and/or overall Warfighter Brain Health specialist.

  • Possess knowledge of clinical best practices, evidence-based medicine, and possess current knowledge and experience with military operational medicine capabilities and requirements.

  • Ability to obtain a Secret level clearance.
