Overview

Are you a DDSO Senior Test Engineer looking to help improve the lives of Veterans that have protected our Freedom?

We are seeking a DDSO Senior Test Engineer professional who exhibits strong knowledge and experience in understanding and migrating cloud solutions and bringing value to our customer. Our goal over is to ensure system operations are optimized, downtimes are eliminated, move towards self-managed services and instantly report on system health and security to all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Research and implement best practice solutions for various automated verification and validation processes

  • Assist in coding an automated framework in a TDD/BDD style approach

  • Perform Unit test analysis and verification as well as run Code coverage reports

  • Research and implement strategies for minimizing development rework and validation times

  • Integrate various Continuous Integration/Deployment solutions

  • Integrate custom reporting and deliverable solutions where necessary

  • Maintain and upkeep the implemented automated solution on a release basis

  • Inspect and analyze all aspects of the applications technical stack and component interaction

  • Verify source code updates during each release for "Testability" and "Readability"

  • Conduct detailed triage to identity potential defects and provide clear and concise “Steps to reproduce”

  • Custom develop various testing utilities and libraries to maximize throughput and effectiveness

  • Identify code specific edge cases and various breaking points as early detection during static verification of the code

  • Develop mocks/stubs and harnesses to verify unit/integration testing done by the development team

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software development or other equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience with application testing with an emphasis on white box testing

  • 3+ years of Java, JSP and other programming languages

  • Experience with Jenkin's pipeline scripts (i.e. Groovy)

  • Experience with Automated Security Testing (i.e.: OWASP ZAP, BurpSuite)

  • Experience with Object Oriented Design and Programming in a multithreaded agile environment

  • Experience with scripting in one or more languages

  • Experience with Selenium based frameworks built in a TDD/BDD style approach e.g. TestNG, Serenity BDD, Cucumber, Gherkin etc.

  • Experience with using IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA with various plugins like maven, ant etc.

  • Experience with CLI tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, Hudson etc.

  • Experience with SCM solutions such as Git, SVN, Bitbucket etc.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated individual with an ability to work independently while delivering exceptional results

  • Strong "can-do" attitude, willing to do what it takes to support the project

  • An excellent team player with an ability to be effective in defining program changing processes in a continuous improvement manner

    Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent software development experience

  • Technical certifications such as Sun certified J2EE developer highly preferred

    Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance

    Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $38,145 to $65,625

  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
