Overview

Are you an AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer looking to help improve the lives of Veterans that have protected our Freedom?

We are seeking an AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer professional who exhibits strong knowledge and experience in understanding and migrating cloud solutions and bringing value to our customer. Our goal over is to ensure system operations are optimized, downtimes are eliminated, move towards self-managed services and instantly report on system health and security to all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with platform architecture team to define infrastructure and deployment requirements

  • Experience with Jenkins Administration

  • Familiar with configuration management and infrastructure as code (Ansible/Terraform)

  • Experience with Git and related best practices

  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum process

  • Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS

  • Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code

  • Work with other DevOps Engineers to understand existing CI/CD pipeline, system architecture, application components, and open source tools that need to be migrated or implemented in the cloud

  • Work with the scrum team to understand the build, deliver process of software releases through CI/CD, and identify opportunities to increase engineering efficiency of getting code to production with high quality on a cloud-hosted environment

  • Automate common operations on critical systems in a safe and reliable manner and implement deployment best practices, auditing, logging, security controls, and continuous monitoring using CMS approved cloud services

  • Working experience of Elastic Kubernetes Services (Amazon EKS), Elastic Container Services (ECS), AWS Code Build, AWS CodePipeline, and other CMS approved cloud services

  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux based systems

  • Troubleshoot problems across cloud and application infrastructure components

  • Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining AWS infrastructure

  • Strong understanding of AWS security best practices

  • Designing and communicating custom workflows, run books, and response documents

  • Build Servers and Tools: Jenkins, GitHub

  • Familiarity with container infrastructure (Docker, ECS, EKS)

  • Hands on experience with containers and container platforms, such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.

  • Good knowledge of networking, Linux and Windows Administration

  • Ability to manage Git & Github

  • Dependency Management tools: Maven

  • Write build and deployment scripts

  • Configuration Management tools: Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

  • Experience bootstrapping and automating the build of complete environments

  • Good knowledge of networking, Linux and Windows Administration

  • Infrastructure provisioning tool: Terraform/CloudFormation

  • Familiarity with Splunk and AWS CloudWatch

  • Experience with Azure GovCloud a plus

    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline

    Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) clearance

    Pay Range:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $55,730 to $85,500

  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location
