Registered Nurse - Medical Oncology

CTTX Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Oncology team. As a Medical Oncology nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and support to patients undergoing treatment for cancer.

As a Medical Oncology nurse, you will assess and monitor patients receiving chemotherapy, administer medications, and educate patients and their families about their treatment plans.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being before, during, and after chemotherapy treatments.

  • Administer chemotherapy drugs and supportive care medications as prescribed.

  • Educate patients and their families about their treatment plans, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.

  • Collaborate with the oncology team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Monitor and document patients' response to treatment and report any adverse reactions.

  • Ensure compliance with chemotherapy safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Oncology nursing.

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

  • Knowledge of chemotherapy procedures, drugs, and safety protocols.
