City Of Glenwood Springs Ice Skate Lesson Lead in Glenwood Springs, Colorado

POSITION SUMMARY: Position is responsible for supervising and/or instructing multiple skill levels of ice-skating lessons. The Athletics Supervisor and/or the facility manager directly supervise this position. May recruit, train, and evaluate part time Ice-Skating Instructors.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending upon the specified need is mandatory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Oversee all skating instructors and lessons Skating knowledge and experience required Previous teaching or coaching experience is preferred. Applicant needs to demonstrate strong customer service skills and have the ability to work independently under pressure. Applicant must be able to instruct classes for the entire ice-skating season. Students will range from preschool thru adults.

CORE COMPETENCIES: Ability to instruct all levels and aspects of ice skating. Students should be able to skate on their own without assistance by the completion of the program

EDUCATION, TRAINING & CERTIFICATIONS

Necessary:

Minimum of 6 months management experience. CPR/First Aid must be obtained within first 30 days of hire. Experience in previous ice-skating lessons. Desired:

Experience in teaching is preferred.
