WESCO Senior Analyst, HRIS - Payroll & Timekeeping (Remote - Greater Chicago Area) in Glenview, Illinois

As the Senior Analyst - HRIS Payroll and Timekeeping, you will assist in the responsibilities of maintaining UKG Pro Payroll and Kronos timekeeping systems for US, Canada and the UK. This is not a payroll processing position. You should be familiar with the configuration and set-up of UKG Pro Payroll and Kronos WFM & UKG Pro WFM (Dimensions) timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support the implementation of policies, procedures and processes related to workforce management and payroll, end user experience and help desk

  • Assist in the upgrade to UKG Pro WFM

  • Be familiar with the Agile methodology

  • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies in all payroll-related activities

  • Address payroll inquiries and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies

  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements for workforce management and payroll processes

  • Assist in audits related to payroll and employee records

  • Build and maintain payroll and WFM reports and Dataflows

  • Manage support teams to optimize and maintain the workforce management and payroll systems

  • Work with the business to understand what payroll and WFM reports are needed

  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement

  • Develop and provide training and support to HRIS team, managers, and employees on workforce management and payroll-related processes and systems

  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in workforce management, payroll, and HR systems

  • Identify, develop, and deploy for process improvement and efficiency gains

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years general knowledge of labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements related to payroll

  • 3-5 years global knowledge of UKG Workforce Central and Dimensions

  • 3-5 years global knowledge of UKG Pro payroll operations preferred, knowledge of UKG Pro

  • 3-5 years using the following reporting tools

  • Cognos BI: UKG Pro

  • Power BI (warehouse)

  • Kronos/Dimensions

  • SQL (experience preferred)

  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address complex workforce and payroll challenges. Ability to work in ambiguous situations as it pertains to system issues

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate and present findings to diverse stakeholders

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to understand functional and technical requirement specifications and ability to translate into technical documents used to implement new functionality

  • Strong understanding of data interfaces and ability to define requirements for new data feeds

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to communicate effectively and train, conduct webinars and support customers

  • Understands payroll and WFM processes, including gross to net payroll processes, WFM timekeeping and accruals

  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive employee information
