Construction Technician - Training Provided

Description:

Actalent is seeking Engineering Technicians to support a large construction project in Elizabethtown, KY. This person will be responsible for performing tests and inspections on various building materials to ensure they meet project specifications. These materials can include concrete, soil, asphalt, aggregates and more. The responsibilities of this role can be trained and does not require prior experience.

This role will be supporting one of the largest active construction projects in the US, worth over $7B and slated for the next 2.5+ years. This role will provide consistent overtime hours year round for the duration of the project.

  • Perform testing and inspection of construction activities, including concrete, soils, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and reinforcing steel

  • Review project drawings and specifications,

  • Report test results and time sheet to the Project Manager in a timely fashion.

  • The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills, and must have knowledge of basic computer software such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

  • Experience and certifications are preferred, but not required. Such certifications may include NICET, ACI Field, ODOT, NETTCP and/or ICC.

  • Training will be provided.

Skills & Qualifications:

-High school diploma

-Willingness to work variable schedule including OT and weekends

-Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

-Valid drivers license
