We are looking for Forklift Operators

What we offer:

  • New Starting Pay Rate: $21.41 an hour. Shift differential for 2nd is .75 cents and $1.00 for 3rd shift. Potential pay increase after 60 days.

  • Shift(s): Monday to Friday, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (new hires must be able to work any shift assigned as this is based on the union contract/seniority)

Responsibilities

  • Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle

  • Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)

  • Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines

  • Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools

  • Test operation of machines periodically

  • Fix issues that might occur during the shift

  • Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws

  • Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

  • Maintain activity logs

Skills

  • Proven experience as a machine operator is preferred but not required. We are willing to train with the right attitude and if you are a reliable employee

  • Some working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)

  • Understanding of production procedures

  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)

  • Analytical skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Teamwork and communication skills

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus
