The Malvern School Summer Camp Aquatics Director 2024 in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania

Malvern Day Camp (MDC) Aquatics Director provides overall direction, coordination, and success of Malvern Day Camp Pool operations. that is appropriate to all summer campers’ age and abilities. The hours of this full-time, seasonal position are from 8:15am-4:15pm*, Monday through Friday. Malvern Day Camp runs from mid-June to late August 2024. There will be mandatory training dates before camp begins.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and implementation of swim lessons for campers ages 5-14.

  • Ensure safety and prevent injuries by supervising the pool. Ensure no distraction of inference with the ability to hear or see signs of distress.

  • Ensure the swimming facility is meeting or exceeding the Aquatic Safety Standards.

  • Supervise staff and ensure appropriate staffing of pool. Coordinate breaks and rotate staff.

  • Provide fun, educational and safe activities for campers

  • Work effectively with co-workers

  • Serve as a positive role model to campers

Requirements

  • 1 year management experience.

  • At least 2 years lifeguarding and leading swim lessons.

  • Follow the Malvern Day Camp policies and procedures

  • Minimum of 18 years of age

· Current lifeguard certification.

Required upon hire

  • Completed Background Checks (FBI, Child Abuse, Criminal, NSOR)

  • Willingness to complete additional training (Mandated reporting, First Aid/CPR, Water Safety, etc.)
