NJ Employer Farm Worker in Glassboro, New Jersey

Anticipated period of employment: 05/15/24 to 11/15/24.

All applicants must have 3 months of verifiable experience pruning commercial fruit bearing trees. Applicants must furnish affirmative job references from recent employers. Workers will be performing any of the duties listed as 45-2092.02 farmworkers & Laborers-Fruits.

Workers will perform various tasks involved in planting, cultivating, and harvesting fruits according to supervisor's instructions. Workers may perform hand cultivation tasks, hand weeding and hoeing in field. May aid in irrigation. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Workers must possess requisite physical strength and endurance to repeat the harvest process throughout the work day, working quickly and skillfully to perform activities for which they were hire. Must display the ability to move, place, climb and work from orchard ladders up to 6 feet in height, making the necessary adjustments for various procedures while carrying up to 30 lbs. Only workers meeting all qualifications on the job order should be referred by the Job Service Office. Interested candidates must contact their local employment office to receive a copy of the job order (ETA 790/790A) and applicable attachments. Once the applicant has a copy of the job contract they may call or email the employer directly to schedule an interview Monday- Thursday from 9am to 3pm. No applicants are to just show up without a schedule interview.
