GLASGOW POLICE DEPARTMENT Police Patrolman in GLASGOW, Montana

Come be part of the solution and join Glasgow's community-oriented Police Department. The Glasgow Police Department is hiring two Patrolmen. Glasgow, Montana is in the "Middle of Nowhere". Built from a train station in 1887 Glasgow is the hub of law enforcement in Northeastern Montana. With tons of outdoor recreating and Fort Peck Lake within minutes of town, Glasgow in an outdoor paradise. Being a smaller department, the Glasgow Police Department affords officers the unique opportunity to do all aspects of law enforcement. Our police department is one of the best trained in the state and affords officer numerous training opportunities. Applicant must be at least 18 yo, have a valid driver's license and no felony convictions. Applicants must submit a resume, pass an oral interview, fitness test "M-Pat", physiological exam, and a background check. The starting hourly rate is $24.07 per hour, after 6 months, $24.21 per hour and at 1 year, $24.64 per hour. There is shift differential for nights and weekends of $2.00 per hour with education and training pay incentives. Numerous overtime options including: Vision Zero, Stone Garden and other grants funded by the FBI and State of Montana. The City of Glasgow is currently finalizing a hiring incentive which will include 2 different bonus options. Upon hire with no experience a person will get $2000 sign on bonus and an additional $2000 upon completion of the 1-year probationary period. If the person is a POST certified Officer, they will receive $3000 after 1 year of service and another $3000 after their second year of service. Post certified applicants may start out at a high rate. Heath insurance has three different options: a single medical plan ($900 value), in-lieu of benefits, or a health savings plan.
