We have a new opportunity for a Quality Engineer to support a large infrastructure programme based in the West of Scotland.

This is a key role working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team supporting nuclear facilities and the delivery of services across Client sites.

You will report to the Quality Manager to provide support and be responsible for tracking and updating various registers in the common data environment with inputs from the Quality Manager and NEC4 Supervisors.

Responsibilities include providing guidance and direction on quality management across the Project and setting and implementing appropriate quality standards, processes, and procedures.

Some of your outputs will be:

  • Quality Audit Reports and System Review Reports.

  • Reporting of Subcontractor documentation status (Acceptance/Rejections) after reviews.

  • Weekly reports to Quality Manager and SPM/PM concerning on site Quality Activities (NCR’s Raised, Quality Incidents, ITP ’s produced (Accepted/Rejected), Quality Inductions undertaken)

  • Update Quality Induction Registers and CFSI Training Records and report statistics to Quality Manager.

Qualifications

  • Academic, or vocational qualification i.e. ONC/HNC/HND (preferably in a related subject) or equivalent, significant, and related professional experience.

  • Accredited training qualifying towards registration (e.g. Practitioner Member) of a recognized professional institution (e.g. CQI).

  • IOSH Managing Safely.

  • Lead Auditor Qualification.

  • Visual Welding Inspection Qualification (desirable).

Security Requirements

You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.

Location

This position is hybrid with time spent on the office or at home.

Occasional site visits may be required.
