We have a brand-new opportunity for a Procurement Manager to support a large infrastructure programme based in the West of Scotland. You will be developing and implementing strategic procurement plans aligned with the Client goals and objectives, under multiple NEC4 Framework Agreements.

Your Role

You will lead Procurement delivery in accordance with the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011.

Your duties will include:

  • Prepare and assess Tenders including associated reports.

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with Client goals and objectives.

  • Lead procurement strategy development, including category management, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to identify and evaluate potential vendors, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favourable terms and pricing in accordance with the frameworks.

  • Develop and implement vendor management strategies to optimise supplier relationships and drive value for the Client.

What We Need

  • Experience in the management and delivery of major construction project procurements in the Defence Sector.

  • Experienced in the delivery of Procurements using the regulated procedures including the Competitive Dialogue Procurement Procedure.

  • Experienced in the preparation and production of Tender Reports.

  • Good knowledge of Procurement /Contract law and in the application of the NEC3/4 conditions of contract.

Security Requirements

You must have, or be eligible for, SC clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management (or related field).

Professional Qualification (CSCP, CPSM, CIPS preferred).

Location

This position is hybrid with time spent in the office in Glasgow City Centre and at home.
