The Speech Language Pathologist provides speech language therapy to assigned pupils as mandated by their IEP. They support the transdisciplinary team.

  • Deliver services as mandated by Individualized Education Plans

  • Create and maintain all required documentation

  • Participate as part of the educational/clinical team for each student

  • Applies best, evidence based, practice methods

  • Demonstrate professional knowledge of children with developmental disabilities

  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with families

  • Track data and make data-based decisions

  • Assess student progress on a regular basis

  • Manage behavioral challenges

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Master's Degree in Communication Disorders and/or Sciences or Speech Language Pathology

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:NYS Licensed Speech Language Pathologist; NYS Certified Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH) or NYS Certified Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
