Responsibilities:

Key Duties and Responsibilities could include

  • Performs hardware installation & decommission of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure

  • Troubleshoots and repair of data center hardware and networking infrastructure

  • Monitors security information and event management (SIEM) system for anomalies and take appropriate action when necessary

  • Racks and stacks of data center equipment, including but not limited to servers, networking devices, monitoring systems and other equipment

  • Rack installation includes putting racks in place, cables, power up and hand off servers to internal provisioning teams

  • Monitor all mechanical and electrical systems including but not limited to: HVAC/CRAC, chillers, air handlers, UPS, switchgear, stand by generators, clean agent fire protection systems, sprinkler and fire detection systems, Building Automation System (BAS)

  • Documents and modifies standard operating procedures for the data center

  • Supports the inventory process by keeping track of order replacement parts and return failed parts as required

  • Installs structured cabling, performs labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber, copper, and telecom cables

  • Manages datacenter power utilization by properly maintaining phase balance in cabinets

  • Conduct regular walkthrough of electrical and mechanical plant and raised floor area

  • Schedules maintenance windows for data center deployments, following all change management processes

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Education and Experience

  • An associate degree or vocational training in a information technology or similar field of study (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).

  • Requires 0 - 2 years of related experience.

  • In lieu of education, demonstrated work experience and accomplishments applicable to the level, duties and scope of this role.
