Heritage Ministries is in growth mode and currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our team! The Registered Nurse Supervisor is responsible comprehensive knowledge of all residents. Maintains routine contact and communication with all members of the health care team. Responsible for facility management during assigned shift. Responsible for effective communication among staff members, residents, family members, physicians and acute care facilities. Directs nursing care of critically ill residents. Responsible for ensuring resident and employee safety during shift assignment.   • Supports and promotes the nursing department functions by following established policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for managing, directing and supervising all personnel and all operations of the nursing department and facility during the assigned shift.

  • Designate duties and responsibilities to professional nursing staff and support nursing staff assigned to the shift in a manner that facilitates optimum delivery of care to residents.

  • Promotes department philosophies and objectives through effective staff communication and education.

  • Assesses resident care for assigned shift by direct observation, personal interviews, and

  • Regularly meets with nursing staff to communicate shift needs, coordinates necessary improvements and monitors for success.

  • Interacts courteously with all residents, family and general public. Promptly reports all complaints and concerns to the appropriate department manager and/or DON.

  • Follows appropriate chain of command within department and facility organizational structure.

  • Ensures standard of care on shift is consistent with philosophies and objectives of the nursing department.

  • May be required to act as Charge Nurse in conjunction with Shift Supervisor responsibilities.

  • Supports and adheres to Heritage Ministries Mission, Vision, and CORE Values.

  • Observes and promotes resident’s rights at all times. Serves as a resident advocate.

  • Adheres to work schedule by regular and punctual attendance.

    Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in good standing in New York State. Maintenance of licensure requirements required.

  • Additional education or experience in long-term care nursing.

  • Prefer B.S.N. Degree, but not required.
