Position Summary: As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient and safe movement, stacking, loading, and unloading of materials using a gas-powered forklift. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions, utilizing electronic devices and computer terminals to track product movement throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities: Operate a gas-powered forklift to move, stack, load, and unload materials within a contract manufacturing facility. This will also include emptying scrap metal hoppers, dumping trash into various receptacles, utilizing compactors, etc. Follow written and verbal instructions, including routers and bill of materials, to ensure accurate and efficient material handling. Utilize electronic devices and computer terminals to track product movement and maintain accurate records. Obtain and maintain certification in forklift operation, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols. Operate other machinery as required, demonstrating knowledge and proficiency in handling various equipment. Perform data entry tasks, utilizing math and computer skills to input and retrieve information accurately. Demonstrate physical fitness with the ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds, ensuring safe material handling practices. Exhibit effective leadership and team management skills when collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals. Pay meticulous attention to detail and possess problem-solving skills to address challenges in material handling processes. Showcase excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines. Qualifications: Forklift operation certification.
