Job Summary
Principal Technical Project Engineer (TPE)
RADA USA is looking for a Principal TPE to manage large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the company with minimal oversight or direction. The Principal TPE develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards. They solve issues that impede program progress, allowing the rest of the engineering team to concentrate on their work at hand. They will also participate in new business activities including proposals, preparing bids, and developing basis of estimates.
Job Responsibilities
The Principal TPE shall be able to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems which requires coordination of technologies across functions, programs, and customers. These include:
Be the direct interface with program management, production, & customer regarding all engineering planning and activities
Lead briefings and technical meetings for internal and external stakeholders / customers
Be the primary point of contact for the technical, cost, risk/opportunity, and schedule performance of the specific development efforts
Frequent collaboration with multiple functions (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, etc)
Monitoring engineering performance and ensuring that issues are addressed immediately, and corrective actions and recovery plans are implemented expeditiously
Support multidisciplinary program reviews and presentations throughout the different phases of development, certification, and production readiness with internal and external stakeholders
Facilitate stand-up meetings, retrospectives, sprint, release planning and delivery of artifacts for multiple teams
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 15 years of experience
Mastery of technologies and domain knowledge
Expected to have knowledge and experience in multiple engineering disciplines
Ability to independently lead a team of engineers to complete a complex project or projects
Solid engineering analytical and technical writing skills, excellent verbal communication skills for engagement with all level stakeholders
Previous leadership experience, strong customer relations, negotiation skills, and decision-making abilities
At least six years of demonstrated project leadership including cost, schedule, and technical responsibility of complex military electronics subsystems
Experience developing and maintaining complex integrated master schedules
Experience with developing technical baselines and cost volumes in response to Request for Proposals.
Ability to coach, mentor and build relationships with external organizations
Demonstrated understanding of radar system operation, I&T, requirements verification, repair, and sustainment.
Desired Qualifications
Experience performing as an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Control Account Manager (CAM)
Experience preparing and executing technical and independent reviews (SRRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs, IR’s
Excellent organization skills
Effective communication skills in a collaborative team environment
Experience as an Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) Lead or Technical Lead on a previous program
Technical mentoring experience
Familiarity with MBSE tools (Cameo and Rhapsody); Agile, DevOps, Scrum; Failure Reporting and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS); Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS)
Competencies

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
The expected pay scale for this position is $159,298/year - $247,310/year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
