The Product Director for Education Services will lead the strategic development of educational products and services tailored to K-12 students and institutions. This position involves spearheading product strategy, innovation, and market alignment, as well as collaborating closely with educational experts and K-12 district, diocesan, and school leaders to ensure the products optimally support educational outcomes.

The Product Director prioritizes driving revenue growth and ensuring the sustainability of business operations, focusing on enhancing the profitability of educational products. A deep understanding of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is crucial, as it informs the development and implementation of effective educational services. The role requires leveraging this expertise to not only navigate but also strategically capitalize on regulatory frameworks, ensuring that product offerings are both innovative and aligned with current educational standards and practices. This approach not only supports financial success but also solidifies the organization's standing as a leader in educational solutions that meet the needs of K-12 institutions.

This role demands a visionary leader who can navigate the complexities of the educational landscape, driving the development of innovative products that enhance learning and teaching experiences in K-12 settings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Define and articulate a strategic vision for the product line that aligns with the evolving needs of K-12 education.

  2. Conduct in-depth market research to identify educational trends, challenges, and opportunities, utilizing these insights to guide strategic product decisions.

  3. Lead the end-to-end product development process, from ideation through to market introduction, focusing on creating scalable and impactful educational solutions.

  4. Engage with educational leaders, teachers, and administrators to integrate their insights into product development, ensuring alignment with educational goals and user needs.

  5. Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and IT Development to ensure product strategies are well integrated across the organization and that product launches are supported across all functional areas.

  6. Monitor educational standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring all products comply and adapt to new policies.

  7. Engage with Product Managers, Designers, and Educational Specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and strategic focus.

  8. Oversee product line budgets and strategic plans, projecting revenue impacts and aligning investments with long-term strategic goals.

  9. Navigate and strategically capitalize on regulatory frameworks, ensuring that product offerings are both innovative and aligned with current educational standards and practices.

  10. Travel roughly once a month to home office, conferences, customers, etc.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Leadership experience in product management within the education sector.

  2. Specific experience with, and a deep understanding of, the ESSA and related programs.

  3. Experience and demonstrated expertise in driving revenue growth through strategic product initiatives.
