SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR SUMMARY

Toyota Tsusho is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Operations Supervisor to join our team in Georgetown!

Utilizing a team approach, this position is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with leading, planning, directing, and coordinating the operations of a warehouse facility. Duties include ensuring and improving the safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and positive employee relations using the principles of TPS, and other strategies outlined by the Company and Operation Manager directives. The Supervisor will lead a team of Group Leaders in order to carry out the organizations mission.

SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES:

Coordinate, manage and monitor the various departments within the facility. ​

Ensure that effective controls are in place and being followed in order to meet customer and company inventory levels (FIFO, FEFO, cycle counts etc.). Monitors controls for the purchasing of supplies and other expenditures.

Supports initiatives set forth by Company and Manager for an effective safety program that meets OSHA and company expectations.

Monitor targets for safety performance including leading indicators (Hiyari Hatto, Behavioral Based Safety, etc.) and trailing indicators (incident rates).

Ensures the prompt investigation, reporting and countermeasure of safety incidents and audits.

Ensures the facility is compliant to company (ISO14001) and government environmental standards.

Coordinate and monitor the productivity of various departments within the facility. Monitor targets for productivity performance.

Monitors the preventive maintenance program for building and production equipment in order to minimize downtime.

Monitors the facilities quality control measures are being followed to meet internal and external customer expectations.

Create standard operating procedures for the processes within the facility.

Supports creation of training and development plans for staff to support succession planning and effective operation.

Works closely with Operations Manager to meet customer expectations and develop additional value added services.

Responds promptly to internal and external customer issues and concerns with root cause and countermeasures within the specified timeframe.

SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

The ideal Supply Chain Operations Supervisor candidate will have 3 to 6 years experience in logistics management.
