Actalent Engineering Technician in Georgetown, Kentucky

Hiring an Engineering Technician for Toyota's Stamping New Technology group.

Description:

o Use technical expertise in the development of machine installation and modification plans.

o Prepare, troubleshoot, and confirm equipment at vendors site and/or in PE lab during project preparation, equipment runoff, and during project installation phase with focused activity to ensure safety and quality compliance standards are met.

o Performs online and offline PLC programming

o Primary support to NAMCs for auxiliary equipment (robot teaching, handling device adjustment) for new die introduction.

o Periodic support to NAMCs to investigate and countermeasure mass production problems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Electronics & Controls Understanding

o Press mechanics Understanding

o Root cause analysis & c/m determination

o Good communication skills to work in a team environment with internal and external customers.

o Fundamental knowledge of mechanics of materials.

o Fundamental knowledge of tooling and machining.

Additional skills preferred:

o Robot programming

o Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems Understanding

o 2 year Technical Degree +1 year heavy equipment and/or press experience or 3 years heavy equipment and/or press experience

Qualifications preferred:

o 2 year Technical Degree + 3 years heavy equipment and/or press experience

o Ability to travel to support at other locations, domestic and international; 40% travel to other sites in USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Switzerland, etc.

o Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to perform functions

Duties include:
