What the day will look like
Key Roles:
Networking with insurance companies and secure best available terms in insurance placements
Accountable for executing the World Class Broking Strategy for Renewal and New Business with focus on business results and growth in collaboration with Actuarial/Analytics, Account Management, Business Development and Broking COE Teams
Timely actions on all broking duties not limited to issuing broking slips for placement as well as renewal billings, checking of policies & endorsement etc
Contributing to ongoing client satisfaction, retention and profitability
Carrier Management:
Day-to-Day Operation
- Working in partnership with Account Management team to ensure client needs and expectations are met
Address COE Team, Account Management Team and Carrier issues and concerns thru regular cadence
Comply with all internal and external timelines and KPI’s in accordance to the goals and key responsibilities provided
Participating in the direction and implementation/execution of insurer engagement strategy
Follow-up with insurers on policy documents, check policy to ensure it matches with the coverage confirmed to client, notify insurer of any discrepancies and follow-up on their amendment
Renewal & Remarketing
- Request for renewal terms and documents from insurers
Provide supports on pre-renewal strategy meetings with clients
Providing advice to colleagues on placement design, available coverage and capacity, likely pricing, potential coverage enhancements and market progress within scope of responsibility
Work closely with COE Team and Account Management Team to ensure that agreed TAT for each renewal milestone are strictly being followed
Undertaking placement activities such as
Conduct and setup Request for Proposals (RFPs) in Total Benefit Solution (TBS) for renewal and RFP rounds
Setup Scoring Criteria/Objectives in TBS
Approach the insurance market for quotations
Negotiating terms and conditions of placement with carriers, obtaining quotes, and handling underwriter queries (and requests) for information
Develop and prepare broking slips/placement slip/insurance summary slip for placement
Ensure all renewals are confirmed and risks are placed timely with carriers
Operational Excellence
Ensure all internal communication and the insurer documentation and correspondences are kept in the designed file/folder for future reference
Review all renewal document i.e. Policy/cover note/hold cover confirmation on timely manner according to the guidelines prior deliver to clients
Full utilization/ use of World Class Broking platform
To collaborate, where necessary, with other teams on joint opportunities
