Finger Lakes Health Activities Aide in Geneva, New York

  • POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Activities Aide assists in providing organized activities that are appropriate to the needs and interests of each resident, encourages their voluntary choice of activities and participation, and promotes and maintains a sense of usefulness to self and others. Prepares initial and quarterly assessments. Maintains attendance sheets. Assists with performance improvement surveys.

  • Minimum :

  • High school education or equivalent.

  • Preferred :

  • College degree

  • LICENSE:

  • PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum:

  • Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant or become certified within 6 months of date of hire.

  • BLS required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.

  • WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum :

  • Experience in long term care setting-Must go through CNA Traing Cours (offered free through URMC Finger Lakes Health)

  • SKILLS:

  • Minimum :

  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge about recreational activities

  • Preferred :

  • Knowledge of common physical and mental disorders of the long term care resident

Salary Range: $17.00-$19.15
